Lucide Post is led by Sarina McCavana, a colourist with 20 years of media industry experience, specialising in broadcast, documentaries, docuseries, commercials, branded and streaming content. With a background spanning the full production-to-post-production pipeline, she brings a deep technical understanding of camera systems, colour management, and delivery workflows.
From early in her career, she has been part of the independent creative community that has consistently explored and tested new tech trends, keeping her ahead of evolving industry practices. Her clients include Sony, Discovery+, BBC Four, Channel 5, Vice, Bloomberg, MTV / Paramount+, Red Bull Media, and more.
She is recognised for a practical, detail-oriented approach and the ability to deliver consistent, high-quality grades across a wide range of formats and platforms.
Sarina’s technical expertise comes from years of hands-on experience with data wrangling, media management, complex footage workflows, colour management, and broadcast and online delivery.
Having built and managed her own post and editing setups in her earlier career, she understands the challenges at every stage and can anticipate and solve problems before they affect a project.
Before specialising in colour grading, Sarina worked across production and post-production, assisting on independent feature films and TV series, managing editing and delivery workflows, and producing environmental and promotional content.
In 2006, she directed and self-shot environmental films for BBC World across Africa and Central America, strengthening her production skills and understanding of complex workflows under tight schedules.
Her hands-on experience, combined with her early exploration of new and evolving workflows, gives her a broad understanding of how every stage of production and post-production shapes the final image.
By 2013, Sarina had established herself as a dedicated colourist for creative studios, brands, and post-houses alike.
Lucide Post was founded in 2018 in response to client and agency demand, delivering professional and high quality colour grading services.
She is a certified Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Colourist, combining technical skill, pipeline knowledge to deliver projects efficiently and reliably.
Having been part of the early group of creatives pushing branded, digital and streaming content grading, including remote workflows, Sarina brings practical insight and technical flair to every project.
